The UM Jazz Workshop provides area high school and middle school students the opportunity to develop jazz performance skills while working with University of Mississippi faculty and students.  The curriculum includes music theory, listening and transcribing, and jazz combo performance.  All students with a fundamental level of proficiency on their instruments are welcome: no audition is required.

The Jazz Workshop meets at the Ole Miss Music Building on Mondays in February and March, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and has openings for trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, and percussion.  Students will have eight weeks of clinics and a final performance. The registration fee is $100.
