In order to do your part to limit transmission of COVID-19 in the Music Building, please review the following resources.
1. Review the required UM Music Safety Protocols for Fall 2021 and indicate your willingness to take part when you visit the Protocol Agreement form.
All members of the UM Music family are asked to acknowledge that they understand and will follow the safety measures in place for fall semester 2021 by reviewing and signing the Protocol Agreement Form.
2. Masks are required throughout the music building.
Review the Fall 2021 University of Mississippi Department of Music Protocols and Resources (August 23, 2021) for details about the masking policy, including the requirements for wearing masks during different types of music-making.
3. Keep pianos and work spaces clean and disinfected:
Please refer to the instructions posted in each practice room and classroom for using peroxide and cotton rounds to clean piano keytops properly before and after use. To clean other surfaces, such as benches, music stands, or doorknobs, grab a disinfecting wipe from one of the wall-mounted buckets nearby. It’s an important way to stay safe in the midst of COVID-19, and it’s also required protocol for those who use practice rooms or who play pianos in classrooms and studios.
Check with your studio professor or email email@example.com for clarification on any policies related to COVID-19.
